This site is a fundraising page in memory of Tony Burns, our dearly loved husband, father, and grandfather.

Over the course of his career Dad raised tens of millions of pounds for the charities for which he worked including the Imperial Cancer Research Fund (now Cancer Research UK), Corda – The Heart Charity, the St Albans City Cathedral Appeal and the National Children’s Orchestra of Great Britain. So, it seems fitting that we raise money in his name one last time.

Dad specified in his wishes that any donations made at his funeral in lieu of flowers should be given to the AT Society.

The AT Society is a small charity who raise funds to support children and families living with Ataxia-Telangiectasia. This rare and complex genetic disorder affects the children who have it from a very young age compromising multiple systems within their body, severely limiting their life expectancy.

Dad chose the AT Society, knowing from experience how hard it can be to attract funds away from more well-known charities and seeing how life enhancing the work of AT Society is for the children and families who need them.
